Kuch Kum Gili Hai Baarishein.....

Delhi and rains – not a much known combination. But when it becomes one, it’s beautiful. It’s pouring in Delhi for the last two days –off and on, though.

Today, in the early morning I decided to go on a small drive in my arena. It was beautiful. Now I envy people who wake up early every day go for a jog, a stroll, hit the gym or just walk and chit-chat. It’s so nice out there.

My windscreen had small droplets of water coming in every nano seconds. If you have time do try looking into this wonderful phenomena.Everytime when you don’t use the wiper the tiny drops come in and fill the screen .And when you put the wiper on then also they don’t stop. At times they might irritate you and at times you would love them.

I stopped my car and the wiper and let the rain drops accumulate on the screen. These tiny ones covered the entire the screen in a few seconds and I just couldn’t stop myself seeing all this. And half an hour down I was just seeing this.

And when you have some good music playing what more do you want.

Life at times unleashes so much troubles and hardships to us that no matter how much cleaning and organizing you do they just don’t get over. But rains aren’t forever. Nor are the hardships. You too shouldn’t give up that easily. Take everyday as a challenge and learn from it. Learn and strive to enjoy what you do. You can give up anytime. Have you ever thought it takes so less a time to disconnect a call from someone whom you don’t wish to talk. Just that “red button” would do the trick. But hear people out .If someone has called you in they want to talk /share something. Try giving them some chance.

Delhi is awesome these days. And my weekends come and go so fast that hardly came to know that May is over. Such is life dearies….

PS – Heard Brazil is the top favorite for the FIFA. Let’s see...

Being an Indian Police Service Officer - an IPS

Everytime I watch a movie , like  - Sarfarosh , Gangaajal or Sehar , all I want to be , in this life is - an IPS officer.

You may think its the power and the pride that comes with the post which an IPS officer holds or some of you may say its the sheer status the word IPS reflects upon . The perks like most of us know , is having an unprecedented power , a lal-batti , a huge team which does ' Jai Hind ' and a whole lot of a new world .

Given, I have had a good fortune to be in a family of IPS and know and understand from them what is it being an IPS officer most of the above mentioned movies or may be the image we tend paint in our minds is very different from what actually is an IPS officer and what all does he undergoes to be one.

I would put my take on this and share with you all my thoughts on what is a life of an IPS .

Studying is just a part of it . The civil services examination is considered not only the toughest in Indian competitive examination scenarios but also one o…

10 things to do in Kodaikanal

There is something about rains and open spaces that make me a little more than hilarious . And not only me , couple of others as well .

Today , rains in Delhi bought back the festive cheer killing the week long SMOG clouding all around Delhi / NCR . As I up for an early morning catch-up breakfast with a few special folks , we decided let's step out and drive away to a place far from the traffic snarls yet has a festive cheer .

The thought came to go to Kodaikanal . While you may think I am crazy and my rest of the gang mad but then this is how life should be - unplanned , unbiased and unimaginable yet positive .

Known world over as the princess of hill stations this place has made me fall in love all over again . My first thought on reaching here was , this can't be in India . This has to be a foreign location.   Pristine surrounding ,  lovely people to talk to and spend time with and not to forget the bicycles that can be rented to take a ride or two around the famous Kodaikan…

Travel Diaries & more - Make it count

Everytime I travel, I look forward to meeting new people. New places as well can be explored but what is home without humans!?
Off late, besides the flights getting delayed, I like to reach the airport ahead of my scheduled departure timing & sit around in the lounge & read or chit-chat. Works for me.
Last week was fun & yet a bit hectic. During one of my lounge visits I hosted a dear friend ( though exactly for 15 minutes ) for a small #CoffeewithKaran session & off he had to go. In those 15 minutes we spoke in true blue corporate styles. First 5 minutes updates from him and I sipped my hot chocolate and then the next 5 minutes updates from my side.  The remaining 5 minutes were spent on discussing  ' better than before'  .
During my flight I met an amazing doctoral student or a fellowship candidate as she likes to be described. She was pursing her close 4 years doctor fellowship from a premium institute and such was her focus that she decided not to get married …
