Jab "they" Met

First came a call ....then a wedding ecard......next the sweet box......?? Foxed ! I was !

But,not for so long.I figure out things quite fast.QUITE,indeed. So,my good old "bat-ball" friend and my Big B was getting married ! I thought since it was April,so I may be heading towards becoming a -"Bakra",anytime. But,its not always true what you think. So,hold your thoughts ..

Yes.He was.How could he ? So soon ? ok ......not that soon.....but still.......

So,the next question or rather conformation was "who's that girl" ?? You never know when people say...No. No girls. Its a....... Better left than said.

So,it was her.....yes....yes......I remember....but,how did this all happen ? So soon ?

The story goes back to one of my deary places - Rajasthan ! [Whenever you in India ,do visit this state.....and for those who are here....whatz kiboshing you ? ]

Raj(aka Rajnesh) met Rashmi at one of our trips to Jaipur. The place where we stayed was near her home. Sometimes,it just get clicked....for no rhyme or reason. They saw ,he asked ,she was a bit hesitant but,it had to.She agreed to take us through a "guided"tour of the city. And yes.....we loved the city and he loved the guide. On our last, day we visited her home.....Ok......The parents were somehow brought into the network......(you see Indians are very good at-"jugaad") :-)

Look who's saying...

Met them at there place for lunch.....yummy it was....before leaving handed over some token of thanks and LEFT.

That was it.

NO.I was wrong. In this "mobile" + "e-world" nothing is impossible. The numbers and emails had already been exchanged. They were on the others gtalk/messenger's list. Wow !Now thats fast. !

So,after trying and talking for almost 1+ years.....Raj said...Lets get it done. I asked so,where's the girl from..( see I hardly remember )..He said you know her.I was like....Ok.....let me check my database.

No results found.....So...now what. He said its "that" girl whom we met at "that" place ....... ?~

Oh.....oh......ho......Sheeee....... How come? When ? Why ? ....all ????? (remembered)

He said....."bus ho jata hai"....and I didn't want to say....."Kaash"

You see, there very few people...who take this much of [risk]....they talk, they try, they work out...and yes-they made things happen. Sometimes,it's better to say your feelings rather than ponder over and over thinking - I know - The answer is "NO".

Be positive, give your best ,in a refined manner and never know when you might be sitting next to your someone and getting clicked !

It happens in a fraction of a second and faster than you can ever imagine.

So,before the train leaves....share your thoughts....so,that you have less "baggage" to take home.

Khama gani.....Rajasthan Padharo....

[PS-Her little sister who is now a Docotor was really cute. And what more she gave me Rajasthani "kadaai" shirt.]

interesting piece.....

true life is dynamic, full of surprises...
never know whom u need, when, where & how???
but its good to accept life the way it comes..

its very difficult at times to know is it the right person, and to most importantly accept that u have feeling for this individual...
very difficult...

Dhruv - As I always say success is a blend of hard work + good fortune. Not all are lucky. But,then atleast you can try your part.

Komita-Its good to accept life as it comes.TRUE.But sitting there and waiting for things to happen is not TRUE.
You have to say your feelings.Because if you don't then no one but you would be the first one to say "kaash".Men and women are equally hesistant. But then,if this is your "right one" you better say .After all its "YOURS".So why not ask for it.

Being an Indian Police Service Officer - an IPS

Everytime I watch a movie , like  - Sarfarosh , Gangaajal or Sehar , all I want to be , in this life is - an IPS officer.

You may think its the power and the pride that comes with the post which an IPS officer holds or some of you may say its the sheer status the word IPS reflects upon . The perks like most of us know , is having an unprecedented power , a lal-batti , a huge team which does ' Jai Hind ' and a whole lot of a new world .

Given, I have had a good fortune to be in a family of IPS and know and understand from them what is it being an IPS officer most of the above mentioned movies or may be the image we tend paint in our minds is very different from what actually is an IPS officer and what all does he undergoes to be one.

I would put my take on this and share with you all my thoughts on what is a life of an IPS .

Studying is just a part of it . The civil services examination is considered not only the toughest in Indian competitive examination scenarios but also one o…

10 things to do in Kodaikanal

There is something about rains and open spaces that make me a little more than hilarious . And not only me , couple of others as well .

Today , rains in Delhi bought back the festive cheer killing the week long SMOG clouding all around Delhi / NCR . As I up for an early morning catch-up breakfast with a few special folks , we decided let's step out and drive away to a place far from the traffic snarls yet has a festive cheer .

The thought came to go to Kodaikanal . While you may think I am crazy and my rest of the gang mad but then this is how life should be - unplanned , unbiased and unimaginable yet positive .

Known world over as the princess of hill stations this place has made me fall in love all over again . My first thought on reaching here was , this can't be in India . This has to be a foreign location.   Pristine surrounding ,  lovely people to talk to and spend time with and not to forget the bicycles that can be rented to take a ride or two around the famous Kodaikan…

Travel Diaries & more - Make it count

Everytime I travel, I look forward to meeting new people. New places as well can be explored but what is home without humans!?
Off late, besides the flights getting delayed, I like to reach the airport ahead of my scheduled departure timing & sit around in the lounge & read or chit-chat. Works for me.
Last week was fun & yet a bit hectic. During one of my lounge visits I hosted a dear friend ( though exactly for 15 minutes ) for a small #CoffeewithKaran session & off he had to go. In those 15 minutes we spoke in true blue corporate styles. First 5 minutes updates from him and I sipped my hot chocolate and then the next 5 minutes updates from my side.  The remaining 5 minutes were spent on discussing  ' better than before'  .
During my flight I met an amazing doctoral student or a fellowship candidate as she likes to be described. She was pursing her close 4 years doctor fellowship from a premium institute and such was her focus that she decided not to get married …
